It’s been a good run

Wouldn’t mind more

Can’t help thinking about

What else is in store

Life is a quest

For what we strive

The only sure thing is

We’re not getting out alive

And our time is like

Walking through a mist

We pinch ourselves

To make sure we exist

A Word To This Wise

So far behind

You think you’re ahead

Don’t allow yourself

To be led

Life is tough

A real grind

Fighting to keep

From falling behind

Two steps forward

One step back

A constant effort

To keep on track

Let your gut

Be your guide

Taking everything

In good stride

The Journey

As a breeze

Turning the pages of a book

The chapters of life

Turn toward an end

Come this end

Not knowing where I’ll be

I keep those I love

Ever close to me

The journey continues

Hard and Long

It’s a great life

If you stay strong
